Clarkson Eyecare is proud to be a medically based optometric group based in St. Louis, Missouri. Our team of highly trained optometrists, opticians, and technicians focus on maintaining the health and development of your eyes by providing the most comprehensive eye exam on the market. The Clarkson Eyecare brand was founded in 1979 by Lawrence J. Jehling, O.D. and Lynette S. Lui, O.D. as the Jehling-Lui Eye Associates on Clarkson Road in Ellisville, Missouri.

A few years later, Dr. Jehling opened a second office in Pacific, Missouri, called Pacific Eyecare. A full-service lens-grinding laboratory was then added to the Pacific location.

In 1995, Dr. Jehling and Dr. James Wachter merged four St. Louis locations to take on one brand: Clarkson Eyecare. The merger ignited the rapid growth of the company. Clarkson has recently expanded its services to cover not only Missouri and Southern Illinois, but the Florida Panhandle, too, following a partnership with Sight & Sun Eyeworks and their partner practices in Pensacola, FL.

Clarkson Eyecare also has its own proprietary practice management software, Eyecare 360. Developed from the input of our own doctors, this software enables optometrists, ophthalmologists and their staffs to create a better patient experience throughElectronic Medical Records (EMR). With this new technology, appointments, insurance verification, billing, inventory and eye exams are all done electronically.

Sight and Sun Eyeworks, Navarre Family Eye Care and Berryhill Eye Care have all combined under the name Clarkson Eyecare, effective July 1, 2016. The existing doctors and staff are pleased to continue providing the same great eye care, as our offices have done for the past 19 years.

We offer a complete line of primary and secondary professional eye care services including full medical and vision adult and pediatric eye examinations, binocular vision exams, contact lens fittings, emergency eye care and treatment of eye diseases. Clarkson Eyecare also offers a large selection of retail eyeglasses, sunglasses, contact lenses, and accessory products.
