The Leadership Pensacola Alumni Association extends the Leadership Pensacola experience by fostering professional relationships, offering unique educational programs and promoting leadership to grow business and build community.

LeaP alumni are a very special group of committed individuals who continue to strive to make our community a better place to live. Northwest Florida needs the active involvement of people like you in government, business, and community affairs.

When you entered Leadership Pensacola, you learned about the Pensacola Bay Area: its strengths, its challenges, its government, its organizations and its people. When you graduate, you join those who have gone before you. You broaden your community and business perspective to a level enabling you to turn challenging opportunities into remarkable successes. This group makes things happen.

Joining the Leadership Pensacola Alumni Association grants you immediate access to more than 1000 professionals equally talented and committed to leading our community to greatness. Add to that the diverse networking, educational and one-of-a-kind experience programs that will keep you tuned into the issues that influence our area and keep you connected with community leaders.

Our History

Since 1983, Leadership Pensacola has been introducing its class members to major facets of the Pensacola Bay Area through an intensive ten-month course. The Greater Pensacola Chamber established the program with a goal of ensuring the community’s pool of talented leaders would be continually renewed.

Our Alumni

In 2008, the Leadership Pensacola Alumni Association was established as a means to continue serving its graduates through leadership development programs and to expand the Youth Leadership Pensacola program.

Leadership Pensacola Alumni include current civic, business and professional leaders. In fact, nearly every prominent corporation, private business, government and social agency in the Pensacola Bay Area are represented in LPAA. And they are involved!

Steve currently travels the country coaching and training insurance agents in the art of the sales process and is highly sought after in this field.

Steve is a native of Pensacola, Florida. Upon his graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served his country proudly for 8 years and received an honorable discharge. Steve then returned home and spent the next 10 years serving his community as a law enforcement officer.

Steve later started his own business with Ameriplan Health and Dental. It is here where Steve discovered that his true passion was team building and motivating others to achieve their goals. He was later recruited by State Farm Kizziah Agency and quickly rose through the ranks as one of the top insurance producers in the state.

He is a member of Pensacola Life Church, Pensacola North Rotary Club and Prosperous Christians Group. On a side note, Steve is a HUGE Miami Dolphins fan and has 60 plus Miami Dolphins ball caps that hang on the wall in his Miami Dolphins Man Cave.

Steve’s wife Erin is a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer and currently a financial advisor with Edwards Jones Investments. They have 4 beautiful children: Judah, Josiah, Joi and Jayna.

Steve has many keys to his success. But for him, it all boils down to one simple thing: You either do, or do not. There is No try.

YEA! Pensacola – Young Entrepreneurs Academy 2015

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) is a ground-breaking program that takes students through the process of starting and running real businesses over the course of a full academic year.

YEA! students, as a class, visit area businesses, meet successful entrepreneurs, meet with professionals (attorneys, accountants, bankers, graphic designers, web developers, insurance providers, etc.), develop a business or social movement idea and plan, and work with mentors.

Students then pitch their ideas to a panel of investors made up of local business and community leaders with real dollars at stake to obtain funding, and then launch their venture. By the end of the class, students own and operate fully functioning businesses.

My name is Ceirra Moore and I’m the 11 year old CEO of Coterie Beads. I began my business because, like a lot of ladies, one day my mind just told me to by a piece of jewelry. Sadly, most of the jewelry in my local area was either, typical and kind of boring, above my price range or completely fake. I knew there had to be a solution and importing and selling my own jewelry was it. Through a 30 week Young Entrepreneurs Academy Program, I learned the skills and received the funding necessary to do just that. Like the YEA motto said, I began as a student and finished as a CEO!

LeaP — Leadership Pensacola

Leadership Pensacola is a program of the Pensacola Chamber Foundation started in 1982 with the first class graduating in 1983. The goal of Leadership Pensacola is to continually renew the pool of available community leaders. Leadership Pensacola fosters community minded leaders by facilitating a 10 month educational program in which area leaders experience different facets of our community while also developing applicable Leadership skills. The Leadership Pensacola class also has the opportunity to leave a lasting impact on their community by delivering a class project.

Participants accepted into LeaP are involved in a balanced combination of retreats, day-long seminars and community projects. The program is refined annually by a committed group of LeaP alumni. Area decision-makers offer their time and expertise while tours and interactive exercises are built into each day.
