Peter Ralston is an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Logistics Management at the University of West Florida.  Peter graduated with his Ph.D. in supply chain management from Iowa State University in 2014.  Before earning his Ph.D., Peter spent a number of years in industry.  Specifically he worked as a customer liaison for a large beauty and fragrance manufacturer.  After that, he spent three years running a distribution center in Chicago, IL for a large office products wholesaler.  

Scott Keller is the John C. Pace Distinguished Business Professor and Professor of Supply Chain Logistics Management at the University of West Florida.   He received his Ph.D. in Logistics and Marketing from the University of Arkansas and has been on the logistics faculty at Penn State and Michigan State.  Dr. Keller began the supply chain logistics management program at UWF 11 years ago that focuses on linking students with industry professionals to launch successful careers in supply chain logistics management.  UWF’s formally launched a standalone BSBA in Supply Chain Logistics this past fall.  Dr. Keller coaches UWF student logistics teams that have consistently rank at the highest level in national competitions against the country’s top logistics programs; placing 1st and 2nd multiple times.  Dr. Keller’s research interests include personnel performance and the development of a customer oriented culture within logistics operations.  Along with his brother, Dr. Keller co-authored the book, The Definitive Guide to Warehousing.  He has been ranked among the top 3% of all time published researchers in the leading logistics journals. He is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Business Logistics.  His managerial experience is in motor carrier operations, large scale public and contract warehousing in Memphis, and ocean freight marine terminal operations in Long Beach, California.

Robin is objectively persuasive, seriously humorous, and authentically diverse, comfortably connecting with diverse crowds at all corporate and community levels.  Her audiences feel that she is interested and interesting and appreciates her passion and expertise.  Whether its leadership, collaboration, strategy, coalition-building, or myriad communtiy issues (economic development, parity, diversity), Robin ensures the subject matter is well thought out, inclusive and open. She gleams research from a wide spectrum with a sole focus: connecting people with people,  ideas and informations.

Her over thirty years of professional and community work have provided effective change and challenge in the boardroom, classroom, and community.  She holds a Master of Science degree in Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University and has received many service, teaching, and volunteer awards. Our Mission, Vision & History

The Epilepsy Foundation of Florida (EFOF) leads the fight to stop seizures, find a cure and overcome challenges created by epilepsy. EFOF was established in 1971 as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3). EFOF is the principal agency for epilepsy programs and services sponsored by the State of Florida, servicing the estimated 400,000 Floridians who suffer from the condition. It is the sole licensee and affiliate in the state of the National Epilepsy Foundation®, which has led the fight against epilepsy since 1968. EFOF serves as the lead advocate for the rights and needs of people with epilepsy and seizures at the local, county and state level.
The Foundation provides many valuable services to individuals and their families, regardless of their financial situation, including:

Support Groups

Living with epilepsy is easier when you can share with others who are in a similar situation. EFOF offers a variety of support group meetings on a monthly basis for adults and youth living with epilepsy and parents of children living with epilepsy. We also offer online support group platforms through Facebook.

Each of the EFOF local offices houses a fully-staffed resource center offering a wide range of informational brochures on epilepsy and seizures in English, Spanish and Creole. Kasie Helpz Kidz is a 501(c)3 organization with a mission aimed at assisting Kidz and their families whom are affected by cancer. Our Kidz range from ages 2-19, and we strive to continuously provide them with a strong support system, as well as their guardians, during and after their courageous battle against cancer. KHKidz focuses on lifting the spirits of those currently undergoing treatments, by providing them with a teddy bear, pizza and a movie night in the hospital. We also have fun events, like bowling or a fashion show, for the patients to spend time with their peers that are going through similar situations. KHKidz Financial Assistance Program was launched in 2013 to assist families with up to $500 per year in reimbursements for co-pays, medications, and counseling services during their child’s battle with cancer.

A very sweet 16 year old young lady I know, named Hannah Adams, decided she wanted to help the Homeless! This young lady has had a lot of tragedy in her life, and so she decided this was what she felt was necessary to start showing More Love ♥

So, with help from her Father Derek and I, we all got together & created “Share the Love” Campaign. On Valentine’s Day 2016, we will be handing out Love Gifts to all Homeless People we can find here in Pensacola, FL. until we run out. We are taking Donations Of: Water, Toiletries, Batteries, Socks, Candles, Gift Bags & Little Caesars Gift Cards, as we will be passing out Pizza’s as well!

All donations may be dropped off to;

Being a hot pepper lover, I can’t even begin to tell you how many different hot sauces I’ve tried over the years. What Ican tell you is that I never stopped searching for theperfect sauce. 
 
Call me fussy, but I have certain standards I look for in a hot sauce…

I like it hot, but not to the point that it sears taste-buds and makes my face go numb.  I like pepper-based hot sauces and don’t much care for the tomato-based ones.  I like peppers to be the dominant flavor and not the vinegar.  And I like a touch of sweet, but not so much that the taste of the peppers is overwhelmed or altered. 

 Over a span of years, my hot sauce recipe has changed many times until the delicate balance between the 13 flavor ingredients and the peppers became just right in both heat and flavor.

Master Sergeant (retired) Ron Spradling is a decorated, 20 year, Air Force veteran.  He has an airframe maintenance background that includes working on the F-16 Falcon, A-10 Warthog, and numerous other aircraft.  He has taught over 200 students at the Aircraft Structural Maintenance Technical School in Pensacola, Florida, and he also has served overseas in Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Afghanistan.  He received his BS Degree from the University of Management and Technology and now runs a restaurant delivery service (CitySpree of Pensacola) with his wife, Patty.  CitySpree of Pensacola has been recognized as an “Innovative Marketing Company”, “Small Business of the Month”, and “Best of the Bay – Food Delivery” in 2014 & 2015.  Together, Ron and Patty have three children, Alexandria, age 19, Thomas, age 14, and Samantha, age 11.

Todd Thomson is the Executive Director of Public Affairs for the Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce.  Todd has over 20 years of experience in Florida government and politics including serving as staff director for the redistricting committee in the Florida House of Representatives during the 2002 redistricting cycle.  Todd Thomson has also has consulted on legislative campaigns on the federal, state and local levels as well as lobbying for a number of business entities.

 

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Dec. 9, 2015 – The Greater Pensacola Chamber – along with the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce, Gulf Coast African American Chamber of Commerce, Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce, Perdido Key Chamber of Commerce and Santa Rosa County Legislative Coalition – held its Legislative Luncheon in front of 250 community, business, state and regional representatives in downtown Pensacola today.

 

The Greater Pensacola Chamber released its priorities for the 2016 legislative year, which are broken into three categories: Creating a Better Business Environment, Cutting the Cost of Doing Business and Hometown Heroes.

 

  1. To help create a better business environment, the Greater Pensacola Chamber recommends that state and local government officials act diligently when making economic development decisions and to streamline permitting and regulatory processes that sometimes hinder business opportunities. The Chamber also asks the Florida Legislature to be prepared to respond to any adverse judicial decision that might cause workers’ compensation rates in Florida to rise.

 

  1. The Greater Pensacola Chamber endorses the entirety of Governor Rick Scott’s $1 billion tax cut proposal. Specifically, the Chamber calls for a 1 percent cut in the Florida Business Rent Tax, as well as elimination of the Income Tax on Manufacturing and Retail Businesses and the Sales Tax on Manufacturing Machinery and Equipment. The Chamber also fully supports the proposed increase in the amount of income exempt from the Florida Corporate Income Tax from $50,000 to $75,000.

 

  1. To help improve the lives of our hometown heroes, the Greater Pensacola Chamber announces its support for two pieces of pro-veteran legislation. The Chamber urges the passage of HB 269, which would require the Florida Department of Children and Families to establish the Florida Combat Veterans Care Coordination Program. This program would provide combat veterans and their families with behavioral healthcare referral and care coordination services. The Chamber also supports SB 404, which would create the Veterans Employment Small Business Grant Program within the Department of Veterans Affairs. This program would offer small businesses in Florida a one-time grant of $3,000 for each veteran hired, or $5,000 for each disabled veteran hired.

 

“The Greater Pensacola Chamber supports these common sense proposals that will help grow our local businesses while creating a better quality of life for our hometown heroes,” said Todd Thomson, Executive Director of Public Affairs for the Greater Pensacola Chamber.

Chef Joe Abston, owner of Hopjacks Pizza Kitchen & Taproom and The Tin Cow, oversees the culinary direction of Pot Roast & Pinot and Edible Invaders. A Pensacola Tate High School graduate homegrown chef learned the right way. Chef Abston started his culinary training at PJC before graduating from the culinary elite Johnson and Wales University, building the foundation for his epicurean adventure.  Humbly Joe applied his education working around the world diversifying his culinary portfolio in such great places as the Ritz-Carlton and Le Bec Fin. Starting in 2008 Joe focused his energies in the downtown Pensacola area – a then small foodie scene. One of the earlier downtown revitalization pioneers, Joe was pivotal on the growth of the downtown area, and continues to further the downtown scene advocating for Gallery Night and chairing the up & coming Palafox Wine Walk.
