Prior to joining the Blue Wahoos’ front office staff, Donna’s career was mainly based in the entertainment industry working for such leaders as Warner Bros, NBC/Universal, and The Walt Disney Company. During her tenure with the Blue Wahoos, Donna has managed several departments including merchandise, community relations, promotions, non-traditional revenue and stadium operations. In her role as vice president of operations, Donna manages an award-winning game day staff and oversees a robust surveying platform that has helped earn the Wahoos the title of #1 Fan Experience in Minor League Baseball. Donna studied Economics at California State University, Long Beach. On her days away from the stadium, Donna enjoys spending time with her dog, Maggie, learning new recipes for vegan cooking and exploring all of the exciting things there are to do along the Florida Gulf Coast.

Powerful Women Gulf Coast

Founded after Hurricane Ivan, Women’s Business Lunch (WBL) was organized by Kathleen Shoop, Natasha Parvey, and Kolleen Edwards Chesley to provide a venue for women in business to come and share ideas, information, networking contacts, etc to help each other be more successful in business.

In the Fall of 2013, the WBL reorganized and took on the name “Powerful Women of the Gulf Coast” and are a recognized not-for-profit organization.

Meeting information — Like clockwork, we meet for PWGC-Pensacola always on the 1st Friday of every month, always from 11:30-1:00pm, always at the Gulf Coast Kid’s House on 12th Avenue. We also have PWGC-Gulf Breeze, always on the 3rd Friday of every month, always from 11:30-1:00pm, always at the Hampton Inn and Suites, Gulf Breeze. There is no charge to attend our meetings. Camp Fire was founded in 1910 by Luther Gulick, M.D., and his wife, Charlotte Gulick. They created Camp Fire “to guide young people on their journey to self-discovery.” The Gulicks felt strongly that the experiences young people have early in life teach them to care for themselves, their environment, and the people around them for a lifetime.

Camp Fire has been a leader and innovator in youth development from the very beginning. We’re proud to have led the way on some important issues.

Camp Fire was America’s first nonsectarian and multicultural organization for girls.

In 1975, Camp Fire became a coeducational organization. Boys and girls learn to play and work alongside each other and appreciate their similarities and differences in positive ways. Today, our programs serve roughly equal numbers of boys and girls.

In 1988, Camp Fire formalized its longstanding focus on teen service and leadership. Teens in Action was created to seize the energy and ideas of teens to tackle real issues in their communities. In the Fall of 2013, the WBL reorganized and took on the name “Powerful Women of the Gulf Coast” and are a recognized not-for-profit organization.

Meeting information — Like clockwork, we meet for PWGC-Pensacola always on the 1st Friday of every month, always from 11:30-1:00pm, always at the Gulf Coast Kid’s House on 12th Avenue. We also have PWGC-Gulf Breeze, always on the 3rd Friday of every month, always from 11:30-1:00pm, always at the Hampton Inn and Suites, Gulf Breeze. There is no charge to attend our meetings. They are WOMEN ONLY events, so feel free to grab a couple of girlfriends to bring with you and help share the WBL experience!
