Vendor Marketplace All Day Includes 1:1 time with our event partners listed below.

Let’s make it Fun, Interactive and Productive:

No one can set aside all day for both days. Attend the sessions you can. Set up meetings with your own partners during the event – there is pleanty of room to host your own small groups.

  • BUSINESS RADIO-X: Keith Hoffert of Business Radio-X will be in attendance again this year.  We’ll be adding a link so you can join the show. Get more exposure for your company by being on the air with Keith, and sending links to the show out afterwards.
  • Teaming Talks – your target areas, your socio-economic statuses, your past performance – and let’s share that information so you can have some teaming discussions.
  • Shared Capabilities PDF – will provide a downloadable document with your company profile for Small Business VIP registrations.
  • This is NOT the same old conference – we’re looking for your ideas how to make the best use of your time. Contact Listing in excel format – will be provided to all attendees after the event.

You Can’t Miss This

Focused exclusively on small business strategies for the federal marketplace, Florida GovCon Summit will broaden your thinking and provide actionable insights. Just as important as discussions with the thought leaders in attendance will be the opportunity to pursue these and other issues with your peers—fellow defense and aerospace contractors from companies with $500K to to $30 million in Revenue.

You’re NOT A STARTUP, and you don’t want to hear the same old stuff:

You’ve got active subcontracts, you’ve set up teaming agreements and even part of the way through Joint Ventures, Mentor-Protege and GSA Schedules.  You’ve got great past performance and you’re building your pipeline.  You’ve got most of your infrastructure in place.  But every time you get past one obstacle, you find out about another one!  You’re especially worried about being locked out of the market because you can’t get on the right contract vehicle!  And all this is costing so much time and money.  We’re determined to help you find the answers you need so you can walk away with an action plan and a broader range of teammates and opportunities.

Don’t miss out – space is limited.

Kolleen Edwards Chesley has 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and spent the majority of her career as a financial advisor. In that role, Kolleen was responsible for finding her own clients and quickly learned the value of networking, networking, and even more networking. It was in 2004 and during her sales career that she, along with two other professional business women met for lunch with the purpose of helping to motivate each other after Hurricane Ivan had blown through our area and changed not only the physical landscape of the area, but also impacted the business landscape as well. Out of that lunch was born what is now a thriving not-for-profit organization for business women.

Kolleen currently serves full-time as the Founding Director of what was originally called Women’s Business Lunch and is now known as Powerful Women of the Gulf Coast. The organization advocates a culture of confidence building, lifelong learning, collaboration, empowering others and a spirit of charitable giving. The mission of Powerful Women of the Gulf Coast is to promote, advance and improve women in business and the organization accomplishes these in a number of different ways.

–             Monthly networking meetings in Pensacola and Gulf Breeze. These are open to all women and free to attend. We run a structured meeting with open networking, an educational segment, a sponsor presentation, an opportunity to hear about the businesses of all attendees, and a whole lot of fun. We frequently hear from attendees that these meeting are chock full of value and a great way to build new relationships to help support their businesses.

–             Powerful Women of the Gulf Coast Magazine. We are in our third year of production of the magazine and our goal is for this to be a quarterly publication. Each edition features interviewees of local successful leaders in business who share their honest thoughts on leadership, success, obstacles, and inspiration as it relates to women in business. We also include other articles on leadership, networking, and other skill development. It is geared for anyone in business or looking for business motivation and tips.

–             Annual Pursue Your Passion Women’s conference. To help celebrate National Business Women’s Week, we hold a full day conference during the third week of October along with several other events leading up to the conference. We feature a national keynote speaker, several local successful leaders in business, along with Speed Networking, an Experience Hall, structured and unstructured networking exercises and plenty of laughter, relationship building and excitement. Our attendees are not only motivated by the conference but they leave with tangible tips they can take back and implement in their businesses to lead them to success.

–             Power Up Challenge is a 12 week educational series where we hold classes once a week for an hour and a half focused around four main areas of business: Networking, Marketing, Business Efficiency, and Sales Skills. Open to men and women and all classmates (whether they attend in person or not) receive the full audio recording of each class along with class notes, expanded notes, and extra resources. Classes are affordable and attendees are elated with the amount and quality of the information that is shared.

–             Women in Leadership radio podcast show – sponsored by Pensacola Business Radio X. We hold shows twice a month and bring in mostly women but some men for in-depth interviews. Interviewees share their advice on topics such as mentoring, keys to success, time management tools, personal mantras and favorite inspirations, and what men can do to help support women in business.

Membership in Powerful Women of the Gulf Coast is also available. Contact kolleen@powerfulwomengulfcoast.com for more information or visit our website at powerfulwomengulfcoast.com or Facebook at Powerful Women of the Gulf Coast.

Pensacola Business Radio: Guests-ROCKdotVOSS, Jennifer Rock and Michael Voss Talk B.S. Incorporated

View image on Twitter

“Michael and Jennifer have been responsible for all press releases and company communication, and serve as my ongoing editing team. There is a reason they have provided communication support for some of the most recognized CEOs in the U.S. – I wouldn’t trade them for the world.” Johnnie Hernandez, entrepreneur and former Fortune 50 executive

Jennifer Rock and Michael Voss have a shared, lifelong passion for storytelling. They have had the good fortune to work for and with companies that span industries and impact, where they have spearheaded global communication strategy and execution for more than 20 years. In 2013, they struck out on their own to form the communications agency ROCKdotVOSS, and to finish their debut novel – “B.S., Incorporated.” The novel has been called “a rich combination of comedy, ingenuity and sass” and was named one of the 10 Best Business Books of 2016 by WealthManagement.com. The book is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iBooks and via RockAndVossBooks.com.

jenniferrock@rockdotvoss.com / michaelvoss@rockdotvoss.com

We are storytellers.

Our shared passion for captivating audiences goes back – way back – to when Jennifer published haikus in her first-grade newsletter, and Mike entertained other kids on the school bus with his creative fiction.

Not surprisingly, our jones for storytelling fueled our individual career paths, where we held roles in journalism, advertising, public relations, marketing and corporate communications. Along the way, we had the good fortune to work for and with companies that spanned industries and impact – from privately held start-ups to Fortune 50 powerhouses.

Our paths crossed at Best Buy, where – for more than a decade, we led the Internal Communications function and spearheaded all communications strategy and execution for the company’s 170,000 employees. We counseled and collaborated with senior executives, managed a network of global communication vehicles and events, and developed strategies to ensure the success of complex initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, international expansion and corporate re-organizations. Somewhere in the midst of it all, we found time to effectively communicate four CEO transitions and build a groundbreaking internal social media program.

Then we struck out on our own, using our combined 40+ years of experience as strategists and communicators to form ROCKdotVOSS – an agency dedicated to helping tell your company’s story.

Because whether you’re looking to boost employee engagement, increase your close rate or entertain the other kids on the bus, it always starts with a great story.

See our Services page for more about what we do and how we can help. Or contact us directly at michaelvoss@rockdotvoss.com or jenniferrock@rockdotvoss.com.

Competitor Analysis

The Competitors

non-profit basis.
FCI is more of an Accelerator, a for-profit venture

Most incubators advertise and wait for the client to come to them. FCI
